ABOUT
I studied at Riverside City College for seven years before recently transferring. I am eager to continue learning about the history of graphic design and printing, mastering Adobe software, and honing my design skills, despite having a learning disorder. My primary goal is to obtain a Bachelor’s degree. Once I decide on a major at Cal State San Bernardino, I plan to pursue a BFA with a concentration in Interface Design.
I was part of the Associated Students of Riverside City College (student government) for about four years, serving in various roles such as Resource Center Director, Special Events Director, and Secretary (for two years). During my time there, I had the opportunity to design several projects to help promote campus events.
Over the past three years, I participated in three competitions:
-
3rd Place College Packaging Competition presented by the 2022 Raise Foundation Awards
-
3rd Place T-shirt Design Contest presented by the 2023 Pink on Parade
-
3rd Place T-shirt Design Contest presented by the 2024 Pink on Parade
I believe that with hard work, an open mind, and creativity, I can excel as a graphic designer. While earning my BFA in Interface Design may take four years, I am ready to embrace the challenge and dedicate myself to learning and growth.
After obtaining my degree, I am uncertain about my next steps, but I envision starting my own freelance business, designing and selling products, or creating artwork that raises mental health awareness. I am particularly interested in branding, illustration, and website design. Ultimately, I hope to continue this journey and achieve one of my biggest goals.
